Fit Food

Food Fit for Me!
In the fall of 2017, I was given the task of creating a marketing campaign for Ruston, Louisiana’s local farmers market. Their need for the campaign was to combat the low attendance of college students.
The solution I came up with initally started as I was trying to add appeal to the health benefits of the vendors food. Then, as I was revising my second draft, I came up with different way of looking at it. I came to the conclusion that maybe the selling point wasn’t what the vendors were selling, but what buying from the farmers market meant as the buyer. Thus, I shifted my focus on making the market about the consumer. I centered the campaign not on physical health benefits, but on perceived psychological and social benefits.
