What are Duasocks?

Duasocks are smart socks created to help diabetic patients keep track of their foot health and be aware of signs for foot ulcers.

I participated in this project for the Louisiana Tech College of Business’s TOP Dog competition where my team and I won first place.

For this project, I teamed up with biomedical Engineers Dace Cole and Fatima Hussain who came up with the schematics and product. I was tasked with taking charge of the branding and presentation materials for our pitch. For the presentation, I created the design of the sock, a service blueprint of how the company operates, icons as well as a visualization to present our data on foot ulcers, and a mobile app.

Dua Sock App

What is the most important information our user will want to know and be able to check? Heat and where it's located.

By recording and keeping track of the heat the foot gives off, the Duasock app creates a chart that shows the fluctuations of the tempeture in any given period. By having acess to this information, diabetic patients can make informed decisions and will know when to seek treatment if the tempeture gets too low.
